BoulderBlast 2.0 took place on the 31st of August, 2019. What made it different from its predecessor is the fact that a majority of the routes were set by Ash and Alex, professional route setters, from England. Having set routes at numerous climbing facilities, the duo brought a significant amount of experience with them. And along with experience came new perspectives that BoulderBlast participants got to try their hands on.
While Alex has experience setting routes internationally, Ash is part of the team running Lakeland climbing centers in London. Having spoken to them before setting, both emphasized on bringing a more dynamic and modern style of climbing to BoulderBlast 2.0.
